Piper Shores CEO Philip Jean Elected to Serve on The American College of Health Care Administrators Board of Directors

After stepping into the role as CEO in June of 2022, Phil Jean has been elected to serve on the American College of Health Care Administrators (ACHCA) Board of Directors. ACHCA is a non-profit professional membership association dedicated to administrative leadership and excellence in post-acute and aging services care across the spectrum of health care services.

“I’ve spent the majority of my career focusing on building and maintaining a vibrant and inclusive environment within the retirement communities I’ve led, and I’m looking forward to contributing those same leadership skills to the ACHCA,” said Phil.

With over 25 years of executive-level experience in health care and senior living administration, Phil has been a licensed nursing home administrator for over 25 years and is also a certified fellow of the American College of Health Care Administrators. In addition to other board appointments and volunteer opportunities, Phil is an exam item writer/subject matter expert for the National Association of Long-Term Care Administrator Boards (NAB). Prior to joining Piper Shores as CEO in June of last year, he worked as the Executive Director at Seabrook Village in New Jersey where he was responsible for providing strategic direction for its fully integrated continuing care retirement community, serving over 1,300 residents and 700 employees.

“We thank Phil for his willingness to serve in this capacity, and we look forward to his involvement and leadership as part of the Board of Directors,” said Steve Fromm, ACHCA Nominating Committee Chair.

Phil’s role will officially start on April 25, 2023.
