Deb Riddell, Executive Director

Deb has been employed with Life Care Services, LLC, the management company for Piper Shores for 10 years. Prior to arriving at Piper Shores, Deb worked in various retirement communities in North Carolina, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York and Michigan. Deb moved to Maine in February 2001 to implement and coordinate all of the operational start up activities for Piper Shores. This included developing a budget, hiring the staff, coordinating the resident move ins and licensing assisted living and the health center with the Maine Department of Health and Human Services and the Center for Medicare and Medicaid. Piper Shores opened in August 2001.

Today, Deb is responsible for the day to day oversight of the Piper Shores community, including implementing policy, financial management, regulatory compliance, staff development for 170 employees, the delivery of all resident services and the operations of assisted living and the health center. Deb is a multi level licensed administrator in the State of Maine and supports the Board of Directors in strategic planning and policy development. She lives in South Portland with her family.

Andrea Killard, Sales Counselor

Andrea is responsible for planning, developing, directing and coordinating all marketing activities at Piper Shores. She joined Piper Shores in 2003 and has worked to continuously increase the awareness of lifecare retirement at Piper Shores through direct marketing, advertising and public relations programs. She manages all aspects of the resident communications process from inquiry to move-in as well as the marketing for assisted living and the nursing home admissions.

Prior to Piper Shores, Andrea held marketing management positions with Hannaford Bros., GoFish/Seafax and Upstream LLC. She also served as program director for MAPS International, an international adoption agency, where she successfully placed orphaned children from China, Guatemala and Ukraine into families throughout the United States.

Andrea earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Fairfield University. She currently lives in Windham with her family.
